More Playing Time For Collin Cowgill?

ESPN reports that Josh Hamilton will undergo shoulder surgery on February 4 and is expected to miss anywhere from three to eight weeks. Possible replacements are Matt Joyce and Collin Cowgill. (ESPN.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Cowgill enters his third year with the Angels bearing a career line of .242/.306/.339 and a 25% K rate. In 2014, his AVG was .250 despite a strong BABIP of .331. This may have resulted from a combination of a 49% ground ball rate and a complete lack of speed since tallying 25 SBs in AA ball back in 2010. Cowgill will turn 29 during the 2015 season, so his best years may have already passed; fantasy players should pass on him as well.
