Ariel Miranda holds the Angels to two hits over seven innings on Friday
by JP Gale | Sat, Jul 1st 1:28am EDT
Ariel Miranda threw seven innings of shutout ball on Friday in Anaheim, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out four batters. He earned his seventh win of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Miranda ended a four game streak of allowing at least one one home run (in fact he had allowed eight in hist previous four games) so it was nice to see him keep the ball in the park. Aside from the home runs, he's pitched well in his recent three starts, and is worth a look as a back end starter in a mixed-league if you're looking for WHIP and Wins. ERA and strikeouts may be a bit of a roller coaster with Miranda.
