Jimmy Nelson allowed three runs to the Giants on seven hits over six innings at Miller Park on Wednesday evening. He walked one, and struck out six batters. The effort earned him his fourth win of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Nelson has been on a roll in his last three starts. Over 21 innings, he has two wins, lowered his ERA from 4.20 to 3.45, and has compiled a 27/1 K/BB rate. Walks have been a huge issue for Nelson in the past, but his last few starts have shown that he might have figured something out. He's worth a look while he's hot if you need pitching in your mixed-league, but realize that he could easily regress at any point.
