Brandon McCarthy allows six earned runs in San Francisco
by Stan Son | Tue, May 16th 12:15pm EDT
Brandon McCarthy allowed eight hits, six earned runs, walked one, and struck out five in 5 2/3 innings Monday night in San Francisco. 67-of-103 pitches were thrown for strikes.
Fantasy Impact:
It was McCarthy's first start since returning from the 10-day DL. With that said, he's not missing bats and striking out as many batters. The swinging strike rate is 7.9% and the K/9 is 7.79. McCarthy will be useful in certain matchups, but there is injury risk and the Dodgers have a plethora of starting pitching options. As of now, McCarthy is next scheduled to start at home to face the Marlins.
