A.J. Griffin tosses shutout against Padres Tuesday
by Steve Painter | Wed, May 10th 12:55am EDT
A.J Griffin allowed four hits and no runs while walking one and striking out four in a complete-game shutout of the Padres Tuesday. It was a much-needed performance for the Rangers, who won the game 11-0. Griffin has looked strong his last three outings and has a 4-0 record to show for his effort thus far. Next up for him is Sean Manaea and the Athletics, his old team, Sunday at Arlington.
Fantasy Impact:
Such a tremendous effort from Griffin today, and he has done well so far this year. He can be considered as a streaming option in favorable matchups, like the one today. He has a tendency to give up homers so caution is needed but if the need arises and the matchup is a good one, give him some consideration.
