Sleeper NBA Lock In: Lock or Pass Week 11

What is Lock-In mode?

Lock-In Mode is a new way to play fantasy basketball that allows fantasy managers to Lock-In a player’s fantasy points following a game or choose to take the risk that they will score more fantasy points in one of the remaining games that week. You can Lock-In just one game per week and cannot Lock-In bench players.

This introduces a new layer of strategy to fantasy basketball while also making fantasy basketball more of a weekly endeavor with daily upkeep as opposed to daily management game that requires one to be on top of injuries and rest days to maximize output. This is great for those who are not available every evening or night to make lineup changes as needed and for those who just do not appreciate the daily grind that season-long fantasy basketball often requires.

Kyle Lowry (G – MIA): 38.50 fantasy points

Lowry had a solid if unspectacular night against the Lakers on Wednesday night, racking up 38.5 fantasy points off of 10 points, three rebounds, six assists, and four steals. The four steals made the line even worth considering. This isn’t a top-five output on the season but is his second-highest in over a month. I will be locking these points in.

Choice: Lock

Bilal Coulibaly (G/F – WAS): 29.00 fantasy points

Due to injuries and some decent play, Coulibaly is starting for me this week. His performance of five points, five rebounds, and one assist will get absolutely no one excited, but the three steals and two blocks certainly will. It is still a far cry from his strong play in early December, but it will do for this week based on his recent fantasy outputs.

Choice: Lock

Victor Wembanyama (C – SAS): 62.00 fantasy points

Wemby was excellent on Wednesday night, making the game against the Milwaukee Bucks competitive thanks to his 27 points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, and five blocks. He said he was extra motivated due to facing one of his favorite players, and it showed. With that said, Wemby had a fantasy line killing five turnovers that dropped him from the 70’s down to 62. The 62 points are his second-highest fantasy total in the last eight games, but still feels like a relative letdown. I will take the risk and pass on this total.

Choice: Pass

Dennis Schroder (G – TOR): 39.00 fantasy points

Schroder was solid on Wednesday night, putting up 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in 29 minutes off the bench. This would have been a strong stat line for him when he was still a starter, so this is hard to pass up. 35 fantasy points is probably the new lock benchmark for Schroder as long as remains a bench player. This total is getting locked.

Choice: Lock

Earlier locks

I did lock in a few players on Monday and Tuesday, including Jakob Poeltl (42.50 fantasy points), T.J. McConnell (40.00 fantasy points), and Julian Champagnie (27.50 fantasy points). There were also some non-decision decisions due to poor performances, including Shaedon Sharpe (30.50 fantasy points), Jalen Green (32.00 fantasy points), De’Aaron Fox (41.00 fantasy points), Scottie Barnes (47.00 fantasy points), and Onyeka Okongwu (26.00 fantasy points).
