Week 12 Outlook
Availability
The Baltimore Ravens have placed RB Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot) on the PUP list.
Fantasy Impact
Baltimore's crowded backfield is appearing be trimming down as the 2016 season approaches under two weeks away. With Taliaferro set to miss the first six games of the season and Kenneth Dixon dealing with his own ailment, it looks like it will be Justin Forsett, Buck Allen and Terrance West as Baltimore's top three backs in Week 1 barring unforeseen changes to the roster.
Lorenzo Taliaferro is at risk of being a roster casualty this training camp as the Ravens will have several options at RB.
Fantasy Impact
Taliaferro entered camp a year ago as a popular sleeper following his impressive rookie campaign. However, his first year was cut short, and a foot injury also limited his 2016 season. He's got good size and ability, but he's yet to prove he can stay healthy. The team has several backs ahead of him, and they brought in additional talent via the draft and free agency.
Lorenzo Taliaferro's foot injury has earned him a spot on the Ravens' season-ending IR list.
Fantasy Impact
Taliaferro's injury makes Javorius Allen the Baltimore backup-to-own for the rest of this season. The Ravens added RB Raheem Mostert the Miami Dolphins to round out their backfield, and FB Kyle Juszczyk might see some more time on the field, although he hasn't had a single carry this season.
According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Baltimore Ravens tailback Lorenzo Taliaferro will miss Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns with a foot injury despite being listed as probable earlier in the week.
Fantasy Impact
This is a bit of a surprise as Taliaferro seemed to be poised to return to the field this week. Taliaferro is second in line behind Justin Forsett and has 47 rushing yards and a touchdown this season. The Ravens will go with Forsett and Buck Allen in the backfield this week. Taliaferro was only a starter in deeper leagues, while Forsett gets a slight boost in value.
In a Week 4 matchup against the Steelers Lorenzo Taliaferro had three carries for 13 yards and hauled in his lone target for 11 yards.
Fantasy Impact
After receiving less carries than rookie Javorius Allen, Taliaferro no longer looks like he has a lock on the primary backup position behind Justin Forsett. Although, Taliaferro still looks to be the back with the biggest goal-line potential.
