Commanders rookie DT Jer'Zhan Newton is not to be listed among the inactives Sunday for the team after a foot injury that held him out of Week 1. He is good to go vs. the Giants.

The second-round Illinois product will make his NFL debut today in Washington. He should play in a rotational role as a backup for defensive tackles Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne.
