Marquez Valdes-Scantling released by Chiefs

Marquez Valdes-Scantling has been released by the Kansas City Chiefs. The move saves the team $12 million in salary cap space. (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
MVS being a cap casualty is not surprising. After the Chiefs brought him in via free agency two years ago he never lived up to his contract cost, catching a combined 63 passes for 1002 yards and three scores the regular season since 2022. The move undoubtedly signals future moves by Kansas City to revamp their wide receiver room. MVS will now try to find a home elsewhere.
