J.J. Barea signs one-year, $2.6 million deal to return with the Mavericks

Mavericks' veteran PG J.J. Barea has signed a one-year, $2.6 million deal to return with the Dallas Mavericks, per Shams Charania.

Barea will return to the franchise he's spent the majority of his 14-year NBA career with, averaging 7.7 points, 3.9 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 triples in 15.5 minutes over 29 games for the Mavs in 2019-20.
