Fantasy Impact
Simmons was having a terrible year for Chicago even when he was healthy, slashing .173/.244/.187. At this point in their season, there's nothing the Cubs can gain from giving at-bats to a player who isn't a part of their future, and the 32-year-old Simmons certainly isn't that. Expect him to latch on somewhere as a defensive replacement, but there's no fantasy value to see here.
