Wilson has been on the shelf since June 26 with left hamstring tendinitis and will return to the Padres in a middle reliever role. He has four wins, five holds and a save with a 3.62 ERA and 0.95 WHIP this season and only needs to be rostered in the deepest of leagues.

Steven Wilson came in the game for Mike Clevinger with two out and two on in the fifth inning. He proceeded to allow both runners to score before escaping the jam. His reward, a victory as the Padres would then take the lead for good the next inning.

It is a bit of a shame that Wilson allowed the inherited runners to score. It put a blemish on an otherwise solid return to the mound for Clevinger. Wilson does not pitch late enough in games to count on for wins or holds consistently.
