Karel Vejmelka strong in net during win over Vancouver

by Bruno Mulé | Hockey Club Correspondent | Mon, Feb 24th 3:46pm EST

Karel Vejmelka stopped 14 of 15 shots in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over the Canucks. The only goal allowed came on a power-play tally by Jake DeBrusk early in the second period.

Fantasy Impact:

Vejmelka has won three of his last four outings, limiting opponents to a single goal in two of those contests. While he’s allowed 11 goals over that stretch, six of them came in one rough performance, indicating more consistency in his recent play. The 28-year-old is now 14-15-4 on the season with a 2.52 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 35 appearances. Utah has been rotating between Vejmelka and Connor Ingram, and that trend should continue unless one of them seizes the starting job outright. Fantasy managers should monitor the goaltending situation heading into Tuesday’s home matchup against Chicago.
