Lukas Dostal allowed five goals on 36 shots in Sunday’s 5-4 overtime loss to Detroit. The 24-year-old netminder struggled early, conceding three goals within the first 5:06 of play. Two of those goals came just 30 seconds apart on a Detroit power play following back-to-back Anaheim penalties.
Fantasy Impact:
Dostal's record drops to 16-13-5 with a 2.92 GAA and a .910 save percentage. Sunday marked the fifth time this season he has allowed five or more goals, and his early struggles in this contest inflated his numbers despite a stronger showing in the later periods. With John Gibson (upper body) considered day-to-day, Dostal could be in line for another start Tuesday against the Sabres. Fantasy managers should monitor Gibson's status, as Dostal’s workload may increase in the short term.
