Sam Montembeault was brilliant in net for the Canadiens Tuesday night, stopping 30 of 31 shots faced in a 2-1 overtime win over the Islanders.
Fantasy Impact:
Montembeault has been mostly reliable guarding the crease of late, allowing less than three goals in five of his last eight starts (4-3-1) for the Canadiens. The 28-year-old has stood tall despite playing behind a rebuilding Montreal lineup, carrying a 2.99 GAA and .901 save percentage in 19 appearances (7-10-2, two shutouts) in the crease so far this season.
