Evgeni Malkin posted an assist in the Penguins' 4-1 loss to the Jets Friday night.

Malkin has struggled to make a consistent impact in the offensive zone of late, failing to register a point in seven of his last 10 games for the Penguins. The veteran center remains one of the more reliable options as part of an underwhelming Pittsburgh forward group to this point, tallying 20 points (five goals, 15 assists) in 22 games so far this season.
