Jeremy Swayman has agreed to an eight-year, $66 million contract extension with the Boston Bruins according to Elliotte Friedman. (Elliotte Friedman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Swayman missed all of training camp while holding out for a contract extension with the Bruins after the team traded away fellow netminder Linus Ullmark this past offseason. The 25-year-old will likely see a majority of the work between the pipes for a Boston squad with Stanley Cup aspirations, with Joonas Korpisalo serving as his backup. Swayman posted a 2.53 GAA and .916 save percentage in 44 appearances (25-10-8, three shutouts) during the 2023-24 season and remains a top goalie option for fantasy managers entering this upcoming season.
