Tkachuk will sit out Saturday’s contest after exiting Thursday night’s loss to the Hurricanes following a hit from Carolina forward Andrei Svechnikov in the first period of a 1-0 loss. Carter Verhaeghe will take Tkachuk’s spot on the top forward line for head coach Paul Maurice Saturday.
