Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy will miss the next 8-10 weeks after undergoing back surgery Thursday morning. (Tamp Bay Lightning on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Of course, this is a significant blow to the Bolts as the six-time All-Star is the backbone of their team. Vasilevskiy has not only put up a career 2.52 GAA and .919 Sv% across 425 regular-season appearances, he has started at least 60 games in three of the last non-COVID seasons. Next up in line in goal for Tampa Bay -- barring a move -- is Jonas Johansson who owns a career 3.32 GAA and .887 Sv% across just 35 NHL appearances.
