The news is a major blow for a Vegas team that's struggled to stay healthy this season. Stone's regular season is certainly now in jeopardy as the Knights battle for playoff spots in the Pacific Division. One of the league's premier two-way forwards, Stone recorded 17 goals and 38 points in 43 games for the season. The club could be able to place him on long-term injured reserve to afford some trade-deadline reinforcement for a playoff push.
