Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams said Samuelsson has an MRI and It was revealed he would miss a few weeks with an upper-body injury. Surprisingly signed to a seven-year deal at the beginning of the season, the 22-year-old went without a point across the first five games of the season, collected 11 hits, 11 blocks, two penalty minutes, and a plus-six rating as part of his 19:36 of average ice time. The Sabres' blueline is further depleted with fellow defender Henri Jokiharju also out week-to-week after taking a puck to the face.
