Samuel Girard finds the net on Monday

Samuel Girard netted the second of six goals the Avalanche hung on the Minnesota Wild in their early-week victory. He finished the game with a goal, an assist, a plus-2 rating, two PIMs, four shots and two hits.
Fantasy Impact:
Girard was the beneficiary of a defensive pinch while Minnesota was trying to exit the zone. He was able to create a turn over and shovel a back hand on net. The former Avalanche Tyson Jost tried to block it but ended up redirecting the puck in. Tonight's effort brings him to one goal and two points through three games this year. He provided a lot of peripheral action this evening as well so managers might want to check his roster percentage and see if there's room on your bench.
