Galchenyuk picked up his first goal of the year to tie the Avalanche at one in the second period. Mikko Rantanen gave the Avalanche a 2-1 lead with a score just under a minute remaining in the second period. Lawson Crouse later netted the equalizer to tie it 2-2 with just .38 seconds remaining in regulation. Galchenyuk ultimately got the Coyotes the win by netting the shootout goal for a 3-2 upset road victory against the Colorado Avalanche.
Fantasy Impact:
This was a great game from Galchenyuk, from both a team and personal perspective. What a game to log your first goal of the season in, and give the Coyotes the huge upset victory on the road against the Colorado Avalanche with a shootout goal. Hopefully he can build off of this momentum going forward.
