Thomas Vanek scored the Re Wings opening goal in their 3-2 loss to the Lightning on Saturday. He had one power-play-goal on three SOG while logging 17:15 of ice-time.

Fantasy Impact:

Vanek was once an elite goal scorer. Those days are behind him. Though he still has some of the ability the Red Wings are clearly not a team that can tap into it. He has 13 goals and 19 assists thru 57 games.
