Andrew Erickson FantasyPros | Courtland Sutton's outlook for the upcoming season appears less promising, especially with a rookie QB in 12th overall pick Bo Nix. While Sutton saw a resurgence in touchdown production last year, accounting for a significant portion of his fantasy points, it's unlikely to repeat, projecting him in the 4-6 TD range. His target usage parallels Jerry Jeudy's, who has since been traded, solidifying Sutton's role as the team's top WR. Despite competition from Marvin Mims and rookie Troy Franklin, Sutton's consistent WR3 performance suggests a stable floor in fantasy. | |
Derek Brown FantasyPros | Swift landed in Chicago, securing the bag in free agency. I know we often follow the money for running backs, but I have worries about investing heavily in Swift for 2024. Last year, Chicago utilized a full-blown committee, with Khalil Herbert, Roschon Johnson, and D'Onta Foreman all having their moments of glory in 2023. Swift should be the leadback for the Bears this season, but his 2023 season wasn't nearly as impressive as it might seem on the surface. After monster games in Weeks 2 & 3, he proceeded to average only 16.8 touches and 72.4 total yards the rest of the season as the RB25 in fantasy points per game. He also ranked only 40th in yards after contact per attempt and 30th in missed tackles forced per attempt. He is an RB2/3 this season. | Sutton returns as the defacto WR1 for the Denver Broncos. Last year, he was the WR38 in fantasy points per game, which was largely fueled by touchdowns. Sutton had the 12th-most red zone targets, which he turned into the 10th-most total touchdowns among receivers. The rest of his peripherals were lackluster, as he ranked 39th in target share, 37th in yards per route run, 44th in receiving yards per game, and 38th in first downs per route run (per Fantasy Points Data). At this point in his career, we know who Sutton is, and I don't see Bo Nix elevating him. Sutton is an uninspiring WR4 again this season. |
