Nico Collins Week 2 Outlook - Bears at Texans

By Mick Ciallela (Fantrax), Thu, Sep 12th 2024, 12:15am EDT

Nico Collins did not miss a beat from last year's breakout campaign in Houston's victory in Indianapolis last week. Collins caught six balls for 117 yards, posting a massive 3.66 yards per route run. The main deterrent to Collins' weekly status as a WR1 is the other quality receivers that Houston has at their disposal, Though Collins led the group in nearly every category last week, it was Stefon Diggs who caught two touchdown passes from C.J. Stroud. But fantasy managers will begrudgingly put up with that as long as Collins continues to be the team's primary downfield threat. Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson is among the best in the league. However, I do not know if Chicago will use him to shadow Collins given the prowess of Diggs and Tank Dell. Collins is slightly more volatile than your typical WR1, but fantasy managers should still start him in all leagues.
