Week 15 Outlook
Availability
The Patriots are trading OL Marcus Cannon to the Houston Texans.
Fantasy Impact
Jim McBride of the Boston Globe reports the two clubs are swapping picks in the fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds. Cannon opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns, and he's returning for the upcoming year, but he'll be playing for Houston instead.
OT Marcus Cannon has decided to opt of the 2020 season.
Fantasy Impact
Cannon joins fellow Patriots Brandon Bolden, Dont’a Hightower, Danny Vitale and Najee Toran to voluntarily opt out. He overcame Non-Hodgkins’ lymphoma before his pro career. Cannon has been a regular starter for the Patriots, including a All-Pro 2016 season. The NFL deadline to opt out is August 3rd.
Patriots placed RT Marcus Cannon on injured reserve with an ankle injury, ending his season.
Fantasy Impact
Cannon has been a key part of the offensive line but the Patriots have been able to effectively replace him. The veteran offensive lineman has been out since Week 8 and La'Adrian Waddle and Cameron Fleming have been filling in. This should have no impact on anyone for fantasy purposes.
