Risner has been dealing with injuries for essentially the entire offseason so far, and now the team is placing him on injured reserve ahead of Week 1. He will have to miss four games at the very least, but it's possible that his absence will extend beyond that. His absence will be a hit to the depth on Minnesota's offensive line.

Dalton Risner is an exciting offensive line prospect who can play right tackle, right guard, or center. Regardless of where he plays Risner projects as an impact addition. The number two offensive tackle according to PFF College grades at 89.9, Risner allowed only one sack in his college career.
