Week 12 Outlook
Availability
Former Seahawks tight end Anthony McCoy has signed with Washington. He has not played a down since 2012. Two years in a row he has torn his Achilles tendon – the right one during organized team activities (OTAs) in 2013 and the left one in training camp last summer. At 6-foot-5, 259 pounds, he is primarily a blocking tight end.
Fantasy Impact
McCoy adds depth here but he is hardly worth mentioning unless his role expands with the Redskins. He may steal a goal line touchdown here and there if Washington gets the play-action game going, but other than that, should not be a starting option.
McCoy collapsed to the ground during drills and was carted off the field. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll confirmed that the injury appears serious
Fantasy Impact
It's a tough blow for McCoy. He spent all of last season on IR after tearing his other achilles. Not much was expected of McCoy from a fantasy standpoint but this injury just about guarantees he'll be out for the season.
