Andre Williams happy to be a Charger

Newly signed RB Andre Williams was surprised by his recent release from the New York Giants but felt positive about landing in San Diego. “It feels really good to be a Charger,†he said. “I’m very happy, flattered and honored that this team claimed me off waivers. That they thought that much of me that they want me to be part of their team. I want to contribute, so first I need to learn what I have to do in order to perform on the field. Right now that means learning the playbook.†(chargers.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Williams had a breakout rookie season for the Giants in 2014 but struggled to find his groove last year. He is currently listed as the No. 4 RB on the Chargers depth chart and should remain on the waiver wire until he learns the playbook and gets on the field.
