Ryan Nassib has mixed bag performance in final preseason tuneup

Ryan Nassib started Thursday night’s game against the New England Patriots with Eli Manning sitting out and the backup QB played into the second half. He finished 16-for-29, good for a 55.2 completion percentage, totaled 210 passing yards, and threw for one touchdown and one interception. He was sacked three times and also got downfield once; rushing for a five yard gain.
Fantasy Impact:
Nassib’s game was again up and down but there were a lot more highlights than lowlights tonight. His below average pocket awareness plagued him again on a night where he took three bad sacks and hesitated to pull the trigger on multiple throws downfield. But the good was also there at different points which included a quick slant to Tavarres King that turned into a 59-yard touchdown. Nassib showed enough to keep his roster spot going into a contract year but he might not ever be an NFL starter.
