Titan Insider writer Terry McCormick reports that the two starting WRs for the Tennessee Titans going into training camp are Rishard Mathews and Tajae Sharpe. After signing a three-year contract, many expected Mathews to ascend to the top of the depth chart. However, the surprise of the group has been the rookie 5th round draft pick Sharpe. Sharpe has been the “talk of campâ€, impressing coaches and players with his “precise route running and solid handsâ€. Sharpe has been so good that he has clearly passed Kendall Wright, Justin, Hunter, and Dorial Green Beckham on the depth chart. All three players were high draft picks for the Titans: Wright a 2012 1rst, Hunter a 2013 2nd, and Green-Beckham a 2015 2nd. (Titan Insider)
Fantasy Impact:
As of now I don’t know if I would draft any Titans WR in anything other than a deep league. The Titans are probably going to run the ball a lot and there are way too many mediocre WRs on the Titans roster to know who is going to start. Mathews is probably the safest option at this point but if you’re looking for upside I would look at either Green-Beckham or Sharpe.
