Panthers release CB Brandon Boykin

The Carolina Panthers have released cornerback Brandon Boykin, according to Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer. (Jonathan Jones on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Panthers just signed Boykin in late March, so the release is surprising. After three quality seasons as a slot cornerback for the Eagles, Boykins got limited playing time with the Steelers last season before signing with the Panthers this offseason. Why Boykin - a talented cornerback - can't seem to stick on a roster is a mystery, but any team willing to take a chance on him should be getting good value.
