Donteea Dye has first multi-catch game of his career
by Chris Zolli | Mon, Jan 4th 1:25pm EST
Donteea Dye grabbed four of his seven targets against the Panthers on Sunday, ending a streak of seven straight games to open his career with only one catch. Dye had 31 receiving yards against Carolina, the second-best total of his career, and finished with 11 catches for 132 receiving yards in his rookie season.
Fantasy Impact:
There were no expectations for Dye this season, so his ability to fill in for Louis Murphy in the receiving corps was an unexpected surprise. He may have not been the most reliable of players, catching 36.7% of his targets, but he did show potential to be a deep threat in 2016, when both Murphy and Vincent Jackson will be healthy once again. He should not be on fantasy owner's radar for 2016 yet, but the raw Dye may develop along with fellow sophomore QB Jameis Winston next season.
