Cooper Kupp not linked to Cowboys despite early buzz

by Bruno Mulé | Seahawks Correspondent | Fri, Mar 14th 11:00am EDT

Reports conflict on WR Cooper Kupp’s free agency fit with the Cowboys. One insider pegged Dallas as a sleeper team pursuing the 31-year-old, but a source close to the club told local media “it won’t happen,” shutting down the rumor. Kupp, who turns 32 in June, has drawn interest from multiple teams amid a thin wide receiver market. Limited to 12 or fewer games per season since 2021, he still brings proven possession skills as he hits the open market. (David Moore)

Fantasy Impact:

Kupp’s next landing spot is murky, but his days of WR1 dominance might be behind him—age and injuries cap his ceiling. A Cowboys move would’ve paired him with Dak Prescott for a potential fantasy boost, but that’s off the table per Dallas insiders. Wherever he signs, expect WR3 production with a reliable floor in PPR formats—think 60-70 catches if he stays healthy. He’s a late-round redraft pick or dynasty hold until his new team clarifies his role.
