Jaycee Horn lands four-year extension with Panthers

Panthers CB Jaycee Horn agreed to a four-year extension, per league sources, locking him in with Carolina through 2028. The deal, reportedly worth 100 million dollars over four years, sets Horn as the highest-paid defensive back by average annual value. Drafted eighth overall in 2021, Horn has played just 37 games across four seasons but broke out in 2024 with 15 games, 68 tackles, 13 pass breakups, and 2.0 sacks—earning his first Pro Bowl nod. At 25, he’s poised for more if he can shake his injury history. (Adam Schefter)
Fantasy Impact:
Horn’s extension cements his role as Carolina’s top corner, a boon for IDP leagues where his 2024 stats—68 tackles, 2.0 sacks—made him a DB1 stud. His Pro Bowl turn showed durability and playmaking, though past injuries cap his floor. Dynasty owners can bank on the 25-year-old’s prime, while redraft players should see him as a mid-tier IDP pick with upside—if he stays on the field. Non-IDP managers won’t blink, but he’s a name to know for defensive formats.
