Khalil Shakir inks four-year extension with Buffalo

by Bruno Mulé | Bills Correspondent | Tue, Feb 25th 12:57pm EST

Shakir and the Bills reached an agreement Tuesday on a four-year contract extension reportedly worth up to $60.2 million, with $32 million guaranteed at signing, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. The 2022 fifth-round pick led Buffalo in targets, catches, and receiving yards during the 2024 season, posting a career-high 76-821-4 line on 100 targets. He also remained reliable in the postseason, snagging exactly six receptions in each of the Bills’ three playoff contests. The new deal locks Shakir in as a mainstay on Buffalo’s offense. Fantasy Impact:

Elevating his game in just his second season, Shakir’s sure hands and yards-after-catch ability make him a trusted target for Josh Allen. Heading into 2025, he’s positioned to maintain a key role in the passing attack, particularly from the slot. With steady targets likely and the Bills’ offense remaining aggressive, Shakir could be a high-floor option in PPR formats. His new contract also signals Buffalo’s confidence in him as a long-term piece, further bolstering his dynasty and keeper-league value.
