It was previously reported last week that Godwin was working on a new contract with the Buccaneers. Per Pompei, the decision to push back the void date on Godwin’s current deal is “an indication both sides are hopeful a deal can be reached, and that talks are in the works. Godwin is working his way back from a torn ACL suffered in Week 7 last season after being on pace for one of the best years of his career.
