Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery could return for a postseason run after receiving positive results on subsequent opinions on his knee injury, potentially avoiding a season-ending surgery and opting for rehab. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Initially, fears seemed to be that Montgomery would undergo season-ending surgery on his MCL injury, but he could make a return. A timetable is not yet clear, but for fantasy playoff purposes, it likely will impact nothing. RB Jahmyr Gibbs should be the leader of the backfield down the stretch, and Montgomery could impact playoff DFS lineups if Detroit stays alive in the postseason.
