Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco is "very close" to making a return to practice according to head coach Andy Reid. Pacheco has not played since Sept. 15. (Matt McMullen on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Pacheco could have been in a position for a big season had he been healthy, as the Chiefs have leaned heavily on the ground game recently. Kareem Hunt, who was a midseason free agent signing, has carried the ball 125 times for 449 yards and five touchdowns in his last six games, a high level of volume allowing him to finish within the top 15 RBs nearly every single week. The Chiefs will not likely rush Pacheco back after their 9-0 start with their eyes on the playoffs, so it remains to be seen if he will factor into the fantasy season, but his situation should be monitored. However, it's unclear when he will actually return to practice much less be activated from IR for game day.
