The Jaguars have signed QB C.J. Beathard off the Dolphins' practice squad. (Adam Schefter on Twitter )

With Trevor Lawrence admitting he was beat up and sore after Sunday’s loss to the Eagles, the Jaguars signed QB C.J. Beathard off Miami’s practice squad and on to their roster.

Fantasy Impact:

Beathard will provide insurance for the Jaguars after it was announced that Trevor Lawrence is dealing with an upper body injury. He would serve as the backup QB to Mac Jones if Lawrence cannot start Sunday against the Vikings.
