Amari Cooper being traded to Buffalo Bills

The Cleveland Browns are trading WR Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills, according to multiple reports. (Jordan Schultz on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Through six games with the Browns, Cooper caught 24 of his 53 targets for 250 yards and two touchdowns. The Cleveland offense has been one of the worst in the NFL, in large part because QB Deshaun Watson continues to struggle. The Bills lost Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis in the offseason and have been piecing their passing game together with Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, and TE Dalton Kincaid. Cooper is the upgrade they needed at WR, and he will step in and immediately be the top target for this passing offense. That means Shakir, who has nearly as many catches as Cooper (20) despite only receiving 21 targets, could see his opportunities decrease. In Cleveland, it means more opportunities for Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore, but fantasy managers are probably best avoiding this situation until there is a change at QB.
