Kyren Williams finds end zone in Week 1 loss

by Leo Sells | Rams Correspondent | Mon, Sep 9th 9:29am EDT

Kyren Williams rushed the ball 18 times for 50 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for four yards in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Impact:

Williams had an up-and-down game on Sunday. He saw heavy involvement in Los Angeles' offense and was able to score a touchdown, but he was also inefficient and rushed for just 2.8 yards per carry. The most notable takeaway from this game is that he remains the clear workhorse back for the Rams, however, as he saw 16 more carries than the next closest guy on the roster, while rookie Blake Corum failed to play even a single snap over the course of the night. Fantasy managers should be optimistic about the season-long fantasy outlook of the star running back as the workhorse RB for a good offense.
