Washington Commanders QB Marcus Mariota (chest) was listed as a non-participant in practice on Thursday, a downgrade from his limited status on Wednesday. (commanders.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Mariota is dealing with a new injury from the one he dealt with during the preseason (groin), and mid-week downgrades are always a poor sign of availability. If Mariota is unable to go in the season opener, QB Jeff Driskel is likely to be the QB2 behind the rookie Jayden Daniels. Mariota spent all of last season as the backup in Philadelphia before signing with the Commanders this offseason.
