Drake Maye named backup QB for Patriots

The Patriots have named Drake Maye as the backup QB to Jacoby Brissett. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Head coach Jerod Mayo stated Monday that Maye had outperformed Brissett in the preseason, but also touched on the issues with starting a rookie quarterback immediately. Brissett is officially the starter, but he could have a short leash if he struggles early in the season. Maye will likely get an opportunity to see the field this season, but it is hard to forecast when the Patriots will switch to their first-round rookie.
