Xavier Legette avoids foot fracture, deemed day to day

by Jordan Epp | Panthers Correspondent | Sun, Aug 4th 5:37pm EDT

Carolina Panthers rookie WR Xavier Legette, who left practice with a lower-body injury, avoided a foot fracture, MRI results say. His X-rays were also negative and he is considered day to day. (Mike Kaye on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

These moves were largely precautionary for Carolina's first-round receiver, and ultimately the best-case scenario came through where Legette should not miss much time. It remains to be seen if he will play in Week 1 of the preseason, but Legette should be good going forward. He is competing for snaps with WRs Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen and Jonathan Mingo, who all occupy similar roles and will likely be fighting for slot reps.
