Theo Johnson activated from PUP, practicing Sunday

The New York Giants have activated rookie TE Theo Johnson (hip flexor) off of the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. He will practice on Sunday. (Art Stapleton on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Johnson was drafted in the fourth round likely under the assumption that Darren Waller was not returning in 2024. Given Waller's retirement, the rookie out of Penn State could fill a similar role as an athletic tight end. However, Johnson still has plenty of room to develop as an NFL player and could use this time now that he is off of the PUP to learn before the season begins. He will likely play behind TE Daniel Bellinger early in the season but will probably have a role in the offense given his athletic traits.
