The New Orleans Saints have placed veteran OT Ryan Ramczyk on the reserve/PUP list, meaning he will miss the first four games of the 2024 NFL season. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
In Dec. 2023, Ramczyk told reporters that he had cartilage deterioration in his knee that caused him to miss time in 2021 and 2023. He underwent offseason surgery after the 2023 season, but Saints head coach Dennis Allen said in March that Ramczyk's recovery was not going at the speed that was expected. Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football said on Twitter after Ramczyk was placed on the reserve/PUP list that there is a possibility the veteran OT could miss the 2024 season. If Ramczyk does not see his 21-day window opened after the first four weeks and is not activated in that timeframe, he will be forced to miss the season. This will likely force Trevor Penning back into a starting role at RT.
