Darren Waller informs Giants he plans to retire

The New York Giants have been informed by veteran TE Darren Waller that he intends to retire ahead of the 2024 season. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Waller has been contemplating retirement all offseason and the team was aware this could be the case, says NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He let the organization know ahead of team minicamp and will walk away at the age of 31. He has career numbers of 350 catches, 4,124 yards and 20 TDs, including one Pro Bowl with the Las Vegas Raiders. He played eight seasons with the Raiders, Giants and Baltimore Ravens.
