Jaelan Phillips expected to receive fifth-year option

Miami Dolphins edge rusher Jaelan Phillips is expected to get his fifth-year option picked up ahead of the deadline, per the team's general manager Chris Grier. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Phillips' season ended prematurely in 2023 due to an Achilles injury. Fortunately for the Dolphins, and unfortunately for Phillips, that will help make his fifth-year option more affordable, making this move a no-brainer for Miami's FO. Phillips has 22 sacks and 52 QB hits in three seasons and 146 tackles, 24 for a loss. Miami is betting on his ability to return from his late-season injury.
